you must be familiar with all sorts of non dairy milks out their like soy milk,pea milk,almond milk and coconut milk but have you heard of the latest non dairy milk alternative in the market called ''POTATO MILK'',yes you heard it right your good old spud had made its way to be your next favourite non dairy milk alternative.
It has a mellow taste and creamy texture and based on what I know it is healthy too of course when consumed in moderation like everything else. (I am not a certified dietician, all the information below is solely based on what I have found based on my research)
WHAT IS POTATO MILK?

HOW TO MAKE POTATO MILK ?
It is easier to make potato milk at home than it sounds first things first you of course need potatoes but not any kind of potato you need a white starchy potato definitely not a waxy potato.
than you boil the potatoes until tender and blend them with sweetner,salt,and water. Some people also like to add blanched almonds for added protein.
WHY POTATO MILK SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY?
It has a 75% smaller carbon footprint than dairy milk which reduces the carbon dioxide emissions and is better for the planet.
potato milk is a great choice for people who have nut allergies and doesn't like other non dairy alternatives already available in the market........I mean who doesn't love a spud!
potatoes requires 56 times less water to grow than almonds as almond crops require huge amounts of water to reach maturity.
potatoes are the cheapest vegetable available out their so making potato milk at home is definitely budget friendly.
potato milk can have less natural sugars than soy milk based on the potatoes you are using. potatoes also have high amounts of potassium,vitamin c,and B6.
potatoes production is relatively sustainable since there is no known damage caused by them to air, water,and,soil,forests,etc. as long as pesticides have not been used.
RECIPE OF POTATO MILK

INGREDIENTS
1 medium white starchy potato but not waxy poatatoes and russet
sweetner as per taste
salt as per taste
water
INSTRUCTIONS
Add the potatoes in enough water until all the potatoes are submerged,boil until tender.(Don't overboil)
Drain and let them come to room temperature, blend with cold water.
strain with cheese cloth and adjust consistency with more cold water.
Add salt and sweetner as per taste.
store in fridge for upto 2 days in a airtight container and give it a stir before consuming.
